About
The U.S. Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh requires a comprehensive digital modernization of our public-facing web presence to better serve American citizens, visa applicants, and the Bangladeshi public. We need a secure, accessible, and user-friendly platform that aligns with U.S. Department of State digital standards and visual identity guidelines. The system must include: a public-facing website with embassy news, press releases, ambassador messages, cultural exchange programs, and educational opportunities; an integrated visa application portal with appointment scheduling, document upload, and status tracking for non-immigrant and immigrant visas; an American Citizen Services (ACS) online system for passport renewal, notarial services, birth registration, and emergency assistance requests; a real-time security alert system for travel advisories and emergency notifications via SMS/email; a searchable resource library with fact sheets, policy documents, and trade information; and a virtual event platform for webinars and town halls. The platform must comply with U.S. federal accessibility standards (Section 508), State Department cybersecurity requirements (FISMA), and support both English and Bengali languages. We require 99.99% uptime SLA, FedRAMP-authorized cloud hosting, and integration with existing State Department systems (NIV, IV, ACS).
